The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 18 meters, and is a prerequisite for some advanced training. You will earn the SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.
The course focuses on essential skills such as dive planning, gas management, buoyancy control, and recognizing the effects of depth, including nitrogen narcosis.
Through a combination of theory and practical dives, divers gain the knowledge and confidence needed to manage deeper profiles in a controlled and safe manner. This program opens the door to more advanced dive sites, including deep reefs and wrecks, while emphasizing safety, awareness, and proper technique.
