The Try Scuba program is your introduction to the underwater world. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water setting. You will earn the SSI Try Scuba recognition rating at the end of the course.

This program is for students who do not have the time to complete the Open Water Diver program, and provides you with the training and experience required to dive in open water environments under the supervision of a professional diver. At the end of the course you take the SSI Scuba Diver certification, which can be upgraded to the SSI Open Water certification any time with additional training.

Advanced Open Water diver is the next recognition rating to become a Master Diver. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you to increase your confidence and build your scuba skills. After completing 5 Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will receive automatically the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rate.

The diver will be certified up to 30m (99ft).

Duration: 2-3 Days

This program provides you with the knowledge and experience required to independently plan and conduct cavern penetration dives within the light zone at depths shallower than 40 meters. You will learn how to use specialized cavern diving equipment, gas management concepts and buddy team skills to safety conduct cavern dives.

This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely dive from a boat, allowing you to get the most from your underwater opportunities. You will earn the SSI Boat Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.

The Nitrox Course will teach you how to safety plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Diving with enriched air can increase your no-decompression limits, increase your safety and reduce the required length of your surface intervals when compared to air.

The most challenging, yet most rewarding course that you can have in recreational diving. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature.

React Right is SSI’s emergency training program consisting of the following basic components: Primary Assessment, First Aid & CPR Skills, Primary Stabilization Techniques, and includes two optional components: Oxygen Administration in Diving Emergencies and Automated External Defibrillation Basics. Students who complete this program earn the SSI React Right specialty certification.

Many exciting dive sites are located in deeper water. Without proper training, this kind of diving puts you at risk. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 18 meters, and is a prerequisite for some advanced training. You will earn the SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.

This program is unique to the Seabob Scooter DPV and provides you with skills and concepts required to safely plan and conduct dives using underwater scooters or diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs). You will learn the special precautions for using DPVs, how to maintain buddy contact and control your equipment, and how to safely enjoy the new experiences that a DPV dive provides.

You will earn the SSI Seabob Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.

This program teaches you the skills needed to dive with an underwater camera, and provides the in-depth knowledge and experience required to properly use, maintain and store your equipment. Our goal is help you capture your amazing underwater experiences. You will earn the SSI Photo & Video Specialty certification.

This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive while using a dry suit. You will learn the special requirements for dry suit diving, how to use your new equipment, the benefits of a dry suit, and how to deal with emergency situations that are unique to dry suit diving. You will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.

Many of the best dive sites have artificial reefs, or wrecks that have sunk through the ages. This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely scuba dive above and around these underwater treasures. You will earn the SSI Wreck Diving certification after completing this program.

This program provides a general understanding of the complex and exciting science of marine ecology, which is the study of how organisms interact with each other and the environment, the flow of energy through communities, and the link between ocean ecosystems. You will earn the SSI Marine Ecology Specialty certification after completing this program.

This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. Some of the most amazing creatures only come out at night, so your dive doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down. You will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and how to communicate and dive with a buddy at night or in limited visibility. You will earn the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty certification after completing this program.

This program gives you the skills and experience required to safely lead groups of certified divers, and is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Dive Professional without requiring you to complete an instructor program. Professional Dive Guides can work for SSI Dive Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. You will earn the SSI Dive Guide certification after completing this program.

The first step to the diver professional career path. The IANTD Divemaster Course is designed to provide responsible training to those who wish to escort divers during recreational dives, and to assist in IANTD Openwater Diver programs. You will be assisting other instructors in actual class situations and present basic information on supervising actual dives. We stress diver evaluation and prevention of problems.

Instructor Trainer Seminars are conducted by SSI Service Centers with course registration taking place in conjunction with the seminar. An Instructor Trainer is authorized to organize and conduct SSI Instructor-level scuba training courses, Instructor Training Courses, Dive Professional Crossover programs for candidates from training agencies that are ISO Certified and/or RSTC Members, and/or assist an Instructor Certifier in conducting all SSI Instructor Evaluation programs. Upon completion of this program candidates will be certified as an SSI Instructor Trainer.

Certification Pre-requisites: Master Instructor Certification

This program provides the skills, concepts, and teaching experience required to become a successful SSI Instructor. You will learn the SSI Teaching System and philosophy, how to assist Instructors in training and how to independently teach a variety of SSI training programs. Candidates who complete this program can earn the SSI Assistant Instructor rating or work all the way through to the SSI Open Water Instructor after having successfully passed the Instructor Evaluation in addition

The SSI Extended Range program qualifies you to dive to a depth of 45 meters / 145 feet using nitrox mixtures of up to 100%. The program can be completed wearing a complete Extended Range Total Diving System, appropriate for single gas switch, accelerated decompression diving. You will earn the SSI Extended Range certification after completing this program.

Certification Prerequisites: Enriched Air Nitrox 40% Certification, Deep Diving Certification, 50 logged dives

This program provides the knowledge and experience required to independently plan and conduct limited decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters, using nitrox mixtures up to 50%. This entry-level program introduces you to the Extended Range training techniques and skills, and can be completed wearing a standard single-cylinder equipment configuration. You will earn the SSI Extended Range Nitrox Diving certification after completing this program.

Maximum training Depth: 40 meters/130 feet

This is the pinnacle of technical diving. Here you will use all the knowledge, skills, equipment and experience from all of your previous training and push your limits to the extreme. There are two pathways; one takes you to 80 meters / 265 feet,and the other to 100 meters / 330 feet using the same Extended Range Total Diving System you mastered in previous programs. However, you will now use a minimum of three stages for decompression and travel gases. You will earn the SSI Hypoxic Trimix certification after completing this program.

This program allows limited penetration into wrecks with an overhead environment. The training required for this type of diving is overhead buoyancy control, new finning techniques, laying safety line and the proper use of a light. The program can be completed wearing a single cylinder with either a pony cylinder or H/Y valve or a technical total diving system. Upon completion of the program the diver is certified as follows: SSI XR Advanced Wreck Diving Instructor.

Minimum age: 18 years old

This program allows unlimited decompression wreck penetration to a maximum depth of 60 meters (during training). Like the other overhead programs, the training required for this type of diving requires high-level buoyancy control, finning techniques, laying line and the proper use of a light. You will also learn about a lost line, lost light and lost diver procedures. You will earn the SSI Technical Wreck Diving certification after completing this program.
