RECREATIONAL COURSES

This program is for students who do not have the time to complete the Open Water Diver program, and provides you with the training and experience required to dive in open water environments under the supervision of a professional diver. At the end of the course you take the SSI Scuba Diver certification, which can be upgraded to the SSI Open Water certification any time with additional training.

This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

Advanced Open Water diver is the next recognition rating to become a Master Diver. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you to increase your confidence and build your scuba skills. After completing 5 Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will receive automatically the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rate.

The diver will be certified up to 30m (99ft).

Duration: 2-3 Days

This program provides you with the knowledge and experience required to independently plan and conduct cavern penetration dives within the light zone at depths shallower than 40 meters. You will learn how to use specialized cavern diving equipment, gas management concepts and buddy team skills to safety conduct cavern dives.

Certification Prerequisites: A.O.W.D certification and 24 logged dives
Open Water Dives: 4
Maximum Training Depth: 40 meters/130 feet
Suggested Duration: 12hours

This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely dive from a boat, allowing you to get the most from your underwater opportunities. You will earn the SSI Boat Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.

The Nitrox Course will teach you how to safety plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Diving with enriched air can increase your no-decompression limits, increase your safety and reduce the required length of your surface intervals when compared to air.

The most challenging, yet most rewarding course that you can have in recreational diving. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature.

React Right is SSI’s emergency training program consisting of the following basic components: Primary Assessment, First Aid & CPR Skills, Primary Stabilization Techniques, and includes two optional components: Oxygen Administration in Diving Emergencies and Automated External Defibrillation Basics. Students who complete this program earn the SSI React Right specialty certification.
